We want to inform you of an important event that will occur over the first week of April. On April 1st & 2nd Gulf Coast FCU will undergo a banking platform upgrade which will improve our services for our 20,000 members. Unfortunately, during the banking platform upgrade all branches including drive-thrus will be closed. ATM’s, online banking, and our mobile app will be unavailable during the conversion. We are doing our best to communicate with our members so that there are no surprises as we undergo this significant banking platform upgrade.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
Why is Gulf Coast FCU upgrading their banking platform?
We have operated on our current banking platform since 2002. Although, there have been updates over the years to our current banking platform, we feel the need to continue growing the credit union’s technology. Technology has evolved and we want to offer our members a new and improved banking platform to help enhance your financial experience.
Will branches be closed for the banking platform upgrade?
Yes. To accommodate the system changes, our branches and drive-thrus will be closed at end of business day March 31st at 6:00pm and will reopen April 3rd at 8:30 am. Please plan accordingly for the days we will be unable to assist you.
Will I be able to access online and mobile banking during the banking platform upgrade?
No. During the upgrade, online and mobile banking access will be unavailable until April 3rd after 8:30am.
Will I be able to use the Gulf Coast FCU ATM’s during the banking platform upgrade?
No. All Gulf Coast FCU ATM’s will be out of service during the banking platform upgrade. Our ATM’s will be available for use on April 3rd after 8:30am.
Will I be able to use my debit card during the banking platform upgrade?
Yes. You will be able to use your debit card for everyday purchases and withdrawals. However, you will not be able to make any withdrawals at any of our Gulf Coast FCU ATM’s as they will be down for the banking platform upgrade.
Can I withdraw funds at a non-proprietary ATM during the banking platform upgrade?
Yes. You can withdraw funds at any other non-proprietary ATM’s. Fees and charges may apply at non-proprietary ATM’s.
Will the contact center be available to answer questions during the closed dates?
Yes. Our Contact Center Agents will be available to answer questions during normal business hours. However, they will not be able to process any transactions or look up any account information during the banking platform upgrade. The Contact Center number is 361- 980-8203.
We will be closed April 1st in preparation for April 3rd the new core conversion live day. Please plan accordingly for the day we will be unable to assist you.

Can I still apply for a loan during the closed dates?
Yes. However, all loan processing will be delayed along with funding March 29th through April 3rd.
Will my account number change after the banking platform upgrade?
No. Your account number will remain the same.
Will I be able to make a loan payment during the closure?
No. You will not be able to make a loan payment on April 1st ; however, all payments for April 1st will be processed February 3rd and effective dated.
Will Gulf Coast FCU routing number change?
No. It will remain the same 3 14978446.
Will I have to reorder checks with the new banking platform upgrade?
No. You can still use your current checks.
Will I be able to use my Gulf Coast FCU credit card during the banking platform upgrade?
Yes. You will be able to use your Gulf Coast FCU credit card during the banking platform upgrade.
Members will receive additional information in the form of e-mails and mailed letters regarding the banking platform upgrade through January.
